Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. Regarded as one of the best tight ends ever, he is the league's top player in receiving yards as well as receptions by a tight end, and is ranked third overall in receptions
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez, who has been on FOX NFL KICKOFF since the last year, hosts host of the program. The show is broadcast every Sunday, at 11:00 AM ET, before FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring in the NFL at the end of 2013 was not true. On March 15 2013, Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth 14 million dollars. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, as did Gonzalez (37 an age) played last season as the one of the NFL's top receivers.
